“It is reasonable why people aren’t doing their work.”
Recently, the disease MERS is a really serious and urgent topic that’s putting Korea’s society into a chaos. Thousands got ill and even people died due to this disastrous situation. Apparently, people scared of the MERS won’t even step out of their houses and because of that, the streets that were supposed to be bustling with people are empty. Since people don’t go out, the economy doesn’t move and the government isn’t happy with that fact and they are arguing that people should be going out of their houses and doing what they are supposed to do.
Well, but at this point, I think if the government wants their people to work, they’ll have to come out with a good solution that will melt the people’s hearts full of mistrust about the government. The biggest problem right now is that the people are trembling in fear because of the thought that they might or their families might get the MERS. However, if the government just pushes their people out to the streets to work without coming up with a good plan, it’s obvious that the people don’t trust the government. That’ll lead to the a vicious circle of the government pushing the people out of their houses, and people resisting to be safe from the disease.
Also, it’s a certain fact that the government didn’t cope with this problem promptly and started to open the names of the hospitals that have MERS patients to the public after people died and thousands got infected. The government’s action rushing around belatedly of course made the people mad and made them not believe the government. Then isn’t it clear what the government should do if they want their people to work? The first thing they’ll have to do is thinking about a way out, not just pushing people out to the streets to make them work.
